Rangers had a memorable 2021-22 season. Although they failed to retain the Scottish league title, Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side managed to reach the final of Europa League where they lost to Eintracht Frankfurt on penalties. However, the Teddy Bears managed to beat Hearts 2-0 in the Scottish Cup final and secure their only major title of last season. Rangers began their pre-season with a 2-1 win over Blackpool before defeating West Ham United. Tom Lawrence, Ryan Kent and Rabbi Matondo got on the scoresheet for Rangers in their last outing against the Hammers.Â
Tottenham on the other hand, began their pre-season with a 6-3 win over K-League XI last Wednesday before being held to a 1-1 draw by Sevilla three days later. Antonio Conte’s side will also take on Roma on July 30 before beginning their new Premier League season at home against Southampton on August 6. Spurs have been busy in the transfer market, signing Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Djed Spence, Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster, while centre-back Clement :Langlet arrived on a season-long loan from Barcelona.

Rangers’ new arrivals Rabbi Matondo, Tom Lawrence and John Souttar are likely to feature on Saturday. Colak, who joined the club from PAOK is expected to lead the attack alongside Kent and Motando. The Teddy Bears are likely to go with a more stable lineup with this match being their last friendly before beginning their 2022-23 Scottish Premiership against Livingston next Saturday. As for Tottenham, Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Richarlison could form the three-man attack with Bentancur pulling the strings from the midfield. Perisic and Emerson could occupy the flanks. Â
