At the Almondvale stadium, the hosts took an early lead through Jon Nouble’s fifth-minute opener. After the break, Teddy Bears came out all guns blazing and netted two goals in the space of two minutes through Scott Arfield (72) and James Tavernier (74) to earn three points. However, in their next match against Union SG, which was a Champions League qualifier, Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side conceded twice through Teddy Teuma and Dante Vanzeir. Kilmarnock are aiming to win their first match at Ibrox stadium since March 2018. The 2021-22 Scottish Championship winners are preparing for back-to-back games against Glaswegian giants Rangers and Celtic, and they are heading into both fixtures as underdogs.
