QPR got the better of league leaders Sheffield United courtesy of Chris Willock’s 51st-minute strike. It was the Hoops’ sixth league win of the campaign. Michael Breale’s side have now won three of their last four league games and their last defeat came against Swansea City, early in September. Reading, on the other hand, shared the spoils against Norwich on Tuesday after Grant Hanley’s opener was canceled out by Jeff Hendrick. It was their first league draw of the campaign, while the Royals have recorded seven victories thus far.
QPR striker Willock sustained a hamstring injury against Sheffield United and is likely to miss Friday’s game. Therefore, Lyndon Dykes is expected to lead the line with Dykes Ilias Chair and Roberts in support. As for Reading, Ince is expected to partner Lucas Joao up front with Loum and Fornah pulling the strings in the midfield.
QPR probable starting lineup: Dieng, Laird, Balogun, dunne, Paal, amos, Field, Dozzell, Roberts, Dykes, Chair
Reading probable starting lineup: Lumley, Hutchinson, Holmes, McIntyre, Hoilett, Hendrick, Loum, Fornah, Guinness-Walker, Ince, Joao
The EFL Championship match between QPR and Reading will take place at Loftus Road on Saturday at 12:30 am IST.
