Poland will host Belgium in a UEFA Nations League fixture at National Stadium Warsaw on Tuesday. With three rounds of games completed, both teams have picked up four points to sit at the second and third spot in Group 4 of League A, separated by goal difference. Both sides head into the tie on the back of draws, as Poland played out a thrilling 2-2 draw against leaders Netherlands, while the Red Devils were held to a 1-1 draw by Wales, last week. As far as the official head-to-head record of the two teams are concerned, both nations have won seven games each in 20 matches played between the two teams. But the Eagles surprisingly have a superior record when it comes to recent results, having won five of the last seven encounters between the two teams.

The Eagles started their campaign with a 2-1 win over Wales, before being thrashed 6-1 by Belgium, who are ranked second in the FIFA Rankings, in the second match. And then, Czesław Michniewicz’s side displayed a clinical counter-attacking football to share the spoils against Oranje. At De Kuip, Matty Cash netted the first goal for Poland before Piotr Zielinski doubled the lead early in the second half. But the hosts were quick to respond and netted twice in the space of four minutes to share the points. Poland’s form of late has been hot and cold, having won three times in their last seven outings across all competitions.

Belgium, on the other hand, began their 2022-23 Nations League campaign with a humiliating 4-1 loss to Netherlands. And then, the Red Devils quickly got their act together to thrash Poland in the reverse fixture before sharing the spoils against the Dragons. At Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday, Martinez’ side took the lead through Youri Tielemans in the 51st minute before Brennan Johnson netted the equaliser for Wales, four minutes from time. Belgium’s recent form doesn’t do justice to their incredible squad strength, having won just three of their last seven games across all competitions.
