Perth Glory will host Western Sydney Wanderers in an A-League fixture at Macedonia Park on Thursday night. The hosts are heading into the match on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Adelaide United on Monday, while Wanderers thrashed Macarthur 4-0, a day earlier. The visitors are currently occupying second spot in the standings, having collected 18 points from 10 games, four adrift of leaders Melbourne City, who have a game in hand. Perth Glory, meanwhile, are languishing at the bottom of the table, with just seven points to their name from nine games.

Perth Glory lost to Adelaide United, courtesy of goals from Lachlan Barr and Ben Halloran. It was their seventh league-defeat of the campaign. The Glory have recorded just two A-League wins this season, and one of those came against Western United (2-1), on December 10, courtesy of goals from Ryan Williams and Jack Clisby. As for Western Sydney, the season has been much better in comparison thus far. The Wanderers have recorded five wins, three draws and two draws so far, to be sitting at the top two in the table. Last time out, WSW netted four times against Macarthur without reply courtesy of goals from Yeni Ngbakoto, Oliver Bozanic, Brandon Borello and Ramy Najjrine.
