PSG will host Monaco in a Ligue 1 fixture at the Parc des Princes on Sunday night. The hosts are heading into the match on the back of a thumping 7-1 victory against LOSC last weekend, while Monaco suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat to Lens, a day earlier. The victory helped PSG to move to the summit of the standings with nine points from three games, while Monaco are sitting at the 13th spot with four points.

PSG kicked off their title-defence in style by recording three successive victories against Clermont Foot (5-0), Montpellier (5-2) and LOSC. In their recent match against LOSC, the Parisians found the back of the net seven times courtesy of a hat-trick from Kylian Mbappe, Neymar’s brace and one goal each from Lionel Messi and Achraf Hakimi. Christophe Galtier’s side have been in stunning form, scoring 21 goals in their last four games across all competitions, while conceding just three.

Monaco, on the other hand, began their season with a 2-1 win over Strasbourg before missing out on a Champions League group stage after losing 4-3 on aggregate to PSV Eindhoven in the third round of qualifying tie. In their last match, Lens netted four times through Lois Openda, Driver Machado and Seko Fofana to hand Monaco their first league defeat of the campaign. Monegasques finished the match with a man less as Youssouf Fofana received a red card in the 72nd minute.

Probable Lineups

PSG has a number of absentees because of injuries, the list includes Keylor Navas, Colin Dagba and Julian Draxler. Galtier is unlikely to make too many changes to the winning formula. Messi, Mbappe and Neymar would form the front-three with Marco Verratti and Leandro Paredes pulling the strings in the midfield. As for Monaco, defender Vanderson is unavailable for the weekend fixture because of red card suspension. Meanwhile, Myron Boadu is nursing an injury. Ben Yedder is expected to lead the line with Embolo and Diatta in support.
