Panathinaikos have a massive task at hand to overturn a 2-0 deficit in the second leg of the Europa Conference League qualifier against Slavia Prague on Thursday. The Czech Republic outfit were really impressive in the reverse leg, winning 2-0 at home last week. It was a strange match in a way that both sides had a player sent off. Slavia Prague took the lead in the first half through Ivan Schranz before Moses Usor doubled the advantage in the second period. The Greek side have a big task at hand to overcome the deficit but their impressive home form will give them a lot of comfort ahead of the second leg.

The Czech First League has already begun and Slavia Prague’s start to the season has been a mixed one. They lost the opener at the end of last month but bounced back from the setback to win this weekend’s match 4-1 over Zlin. It should give them a lot of confidence ahead of the crucial European clash. On the other hand, the Greek league is yet to start for Panathinaikos. At the start of the tie, it was difficult to call a winner in this fixture, however, Slavia Prague have done well in the first leg to give them a good chance of progressing through from this clash.

Possible Lineups

There are not many injury concerns for both sides, but they will miss a player each due to suspension. Both sides saw one of their players get a red card in the reverse leg, hence those two players will be absent from the second leg. Eduardo Santos will miss the trip for the away side after receiving a straight red card, while Sebastian Palacios will miss the match for Panathinaikos. It will be interesting to see how both teams replace them in their lineups. Other than that, they have more or less a full-strength squad at their disposal.

Panathinaikos possible line-up: Brignoli, Ganea, Sarlija, Magnusson, Kotsiras, Gnezda, Kourbelis, Perez, Sporar, Cantalapiedra, Ioannidis

Slavia Prague possible line-up: Mandous, Doudera, Kacharaba, Ousou, Dorley, Tiehi, Holes, Traore, Schranz, Olayinka, Lingr
