Olympiacos will look to put their first leg disappointment behind them when they face Israeli side Maccabi Haifa in the second leg of their Champions League qualifier. The match which will take place at the Karaiskakis Stadium on Wednesday will have all to play for after the reverse leg ended in a 1-1 draw. The Greek champions were racing to victory following an early goal by Philip Zinckernagel, however, an injury-time equaliser by Dolev Haziza broke the hearts of the away supporters. The winners of this clash will face Cyprian outfit Apollon Limassol in the third qualifying round.

Last season, Olympiacos secured yet another Greek Super League title by 19 points. They were almost unstoppable in their domestic league. However, they were not able to replicate the same form in the pre-season, with the side struggling for positive results. So far, Olympiacos won only two of their eight friendlies. Maccabi Haifa have also been struggling in the pre-season with the team losing both their friendlies. However, their late draw in the first leg will give them a massive lift. Nonetheless, the task at hand to get past Olympiacos will be difficult for them.

Possible Lineups

Olympiacos will be expected to win the match in front of their home fans and to that, they will name a strong Starting XI. It will be interesting to see if their new recruits Sime Vrsaljko and Pipa will feature in the clash. Irrespective of the team they play, the Greek champions are expected to be the favourites in this tie. On the other hand, Maccabi Haifa will miss the services of Mahmoud Jaber. The midfielder will not be in the squad owing to a thigh injury. New signing Nikita Rukavytsya could also feature for them up top.
