It will be the start of the pre-season proceedings for Fulham as they prepare for the upcoming season in the Premier League. Having gained promotion last campaign, Fulham have a difficult job on their hands to maintain a consistent run of form in the top division of English football. Nice, on the other hand, will continue their pre-season preparations after a 1-1 draw with Cercle Brugge in their opener. They will be thrilled to face a Premier League side to test their qualities.

Fulham ended their last season in a disappointing manner. Out of their last six matches, they could earn just two wins to go with a draw and three defeats. However, that couldn’t stop them from finishing at top of the Championship table and gaining promotion back to the Premier League. Fulham will be excited to showcase their true quality in the top flight and earn a mid table finish. The club has already started making moves in the transfer window with signings like Joao Palhinha and Andreas Pereira. Fulham begin their Premier League season at home against Liverpool next month.
As far as Nice are concerned, a new period under new manager, Lucein Favre is awaiting them. The French side would have been disappointed to lose previous coach, Christophe Galtier to Paris Saint-Germain. However, they would be satisfied with the return of Favre, who will be in charge for a second time at the club. Nice narrowly missed out on a French cup trophy and Champions League qualification last season. They will hope that with a new manager they are able to have a better campaign in 2022/23.
Both the coaches reportedly have no injury issues to deal with. This could see both the sides giving several players game time to get them back into optimal condition.
