Both sides are heading into the match on the back of defeats in their respective league-games in the weekend, with the hosts suffering a narrow 1-0 Premier League-loss away to Wolves, while Milan were beaten 2-1 by Fiorentina in the Serie A.
Tottenham Hotspur will host AC Milan at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium aiming to overturn a one-goal deficit in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie on Wednesday night. The first leg at San Siro ended 1-0 in favour of the Serie A outfit, thanks to Brahim Diaz’s seventh-minute effort. Meanwhile both sides are heading into the match on the back of defeats in their respective league-outings in the weekend, with the hosts suffering a narrow 1-0 Premier League-loss away to Wolverhampton Wanderers, while Milan were beaten 2-1 by Fiorentina in the Italian top flight.

Tottenham have lost three of their last five outings across all competition. Three days after bowing out of the FA Cup to second-tier side Sheffield United, Spurs suffered another 1-0 loss in the English top flight, this time to Wolves courtesy of Adama Traore’s second-half effort. Despite the defeat, Antonio Conte’s side are still holding on to the fourth spot in the Premier League standings, having collected 45 points from 26 games, just three clear of fifth-placed Liverpool, who have a game in hand. Meanwhile on a positive note, the North London club has won their last three games in front of their own supporters, while preventing Manchester City, West Ham United and Chelsea from getting on the scoresheet during the impressive run at home.
Milan, on the other hand, have lost six of their last 11 games across all competitions. Their latest defeat came against Fiorentina in the league on Saturday, despite the fact that Theo Hernandez got on the scoresheet. The poor run of form has pushed Milan down to fifth spot in the Italian top flight standings, with 47 points to their name from 25 games, 18 adrift of the leaders Napoli. As the Rossoneri have already been eliminated from the Coppa Italia, the Champions League represents the last realistic chance for Stefano Pioli’s side to add to their trophy cabinet this season.
Tottenham’s injury list consists of Ryan Sessegnon, Hugo Lloris, Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur, while Eric Dier is suspended for Wednesday’s game. Harry Kane, Dejan Kulusevski and Son Heung-min will form the attacking trio with Ivan Perisic and Emerson occupying the flanks. As for Milan, first-choice goalkeeper Mike Maignan has fully recovered from a calf injury and could earn a spot in the playing eleven. Olivier Giroud will lead the line, with Rafel Leao and De Ketelaere in support.
Tottenham Hotspur Probable line-up: Forster, Romero, Lenglet, Davies, Emerson, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Perisic, Kulusevski, Kane, Son
AC Milan Probable line-up: Maignan, Kalulu, Kjaer, Tomori, Saelemaekers, Krunic, Tonali, Hernandez, De Ketelaere, Giroud, Leao
