Osasuna have put themselves in a strong position to reach this season’s Copa del Rey final, having edged past Athletic Bilbao in the home leg of the last-four tie in the mid-week, thanks to Abde Ezzalzouli’s lone goal two minutes into the second half. Prior to that, Los Rojillos secured a thrilling 3-2 win away to Sevilla in the top flight, courtesy of David Garcia’s 18th-minute opener, Fernando’s own goal in the 67th-minute and Ezzalzouli’s winner five minutes from time. It was their ninth La Liga-win of the season. Jagoba Arrasate’s side are looking to do a league-double over Celta this season, having recorded a 2-1 win at Balaidos in November.
Celta Vigo, on the other hand, are also in pretty good form, having won three of their last five games. Last time out, The Sky Blues put three goals past Valladolid, courtesy of Haris Seferovic’s 17th-minute opener and Gabri Veiga’s brace. It was their seventh top flight win of the season. Celta are only four points clear of the drop zone. Meanwhile Celta’s away form has been mixed this term, picking up 11 points from as many games on the road.
Full-back Ruben Pena is the only regular player missing for Osasuna due to injury. Budimir is likely to lead the line, with Azzalzouli and Avila in support. As for Celta Vigo, Oscar Mingueza and Agustin Marchesin are sidelined with injuries, while Renato Tapia is out with suspension. Seferovic and Igor Aspas are expected to partner up front, with Perez and De la Torre occupying the flanks.
