Nottingham Forest will host Everton in a Premier League fixture at City Ground on Sunday. Both sides are heading into the match on the back of similar defeats in their last outings, with the hosts being thrashed 4-0 by West Ham United, while the Toffees were beaten by league-leaders Arsenal, with an identical scoreline. Forest are currently occupying 13th spot in the English top tier standings, having collected 25 points from 24 games, four clear of 18th-placed Everton, who have played an extra game.

Having come from behind to earn a point against reigning champions Manchester City, thanks to Chris Wood’s 84th-minute equaliser, Forest would have hoped for a positive result against West Ham last Saturday, but ended up collapsing in London. Steve Cooper’s side conceded four times in the final 20 minutes at the London Stadium, courtesy of Danny Ings’ brace and one goal each from Declan Rice and Michail Antonio. It was Steve Cooper’s side’s 13th top flight defeat of the season. Although The Tricky Trees have taken just one point from their last three outings, Forest are undefeated in their last eight matches at City Ground, having recorded four wins and four draws during their unbeaten run in front of home supporters.

Everton, on the other hand, have one of the worst away records in the league this term, having picked up only one victory from 12 games on the road. The Toffees’ sole away-win came against Southampton in October, and they have taken only two points from a possible 24 on the road since then, scoring a solitary goal across their previous eight away matches. Last time out, Everton lost to the Gunners at Emirates Stadium, through Gabriel Martinelli’s brace and one goal each from Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard. Everton’s last win came against Leeds United midway through February, thanks to Seasmus Coleman’s lone goal in the second half. It was their 5th league-win of the season.
