Marseille came from behind to secure all three points against Reims at Stade Auguste-Delaune II thanks to Alexis Sanchez’s first-half brace. It was their 18th league-win of the season. After the 3-0 defeat at home to leaders PSG last month, Igor Tudor’s men have shown great character to collect seven points from their next three top flight games and continue the most unlikely of title challenges. Meanwhile, home-form has been a cause of concern for the Croatian manager, as his side have collected just 24 points from a possible 42 at the Velodrome.
Montpellier, on the other hand, are in stunning form since the change of manager last month. La Paillade have taken an impressive 16 points from a possible 18 since the appointment of new head coach Michel Der Zakarian. They have conceded only twice in those six games. Last time out, Montpellier fought back to secure the win against Clermont at home courtesy of Elye Wahi’s second half brace. It was La Paillade’s fifth win from their last six games and 11th top flight victory of the campaign. There were fears of relegation midway through February, but Montpellier are now comfortably sitting at the mid-table, 13 points clear of the drop zone.
