Eriksen joined Manchester United in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer from Brentford. The 31-year-old midfielder is now back to training on the grass and making steady progress towards his return to the field. Eriksen shared a series of pictures on social media on Wednesday to show his recent progress, starting with an image of his left foot in a protective boot, followed by pictures of his leg in trainers and football boots. This positive update gives hope to Manchester United fans that Eriksen may soon be able to return to the pitch and make valuable contributions to the team’s success.

Almost a month ago, Eriksen was seen wearing a protective boot while United celebrated their Carabao Cup victory over Newcastle. Despite being sidelined until April due to his ankle injury, Eriksen appears to be on track to return to the pitch before the end of the season. Eriksen spoke to MUTV about his injury and provided an update on his recovery progress. Now, one month later, he seems to be in an even better condition. According to Eriksen, he is feeling good and has left the crutches behind. He is now only wearing a boot, which he expects to discard next week, after which he will begin the process of learning to walk again.

Although it’s been frustrating to be sidelined, Eriksen said he’s been enjoying watching his teammates play, and he was pleased that they won the Carabao Cup. He admitted that watching from the sidelines is more nerve-wracking than playing on the field, but he kept his calm and is eagerly awaiting his own return to action. This latest update provides hope for Manchester United and Eriksen fans alike that he’ll be back on the field soon and playing at his best.

Eriksen should be back in April

Erik ten Hag, the manager of United, has already confirmed that Eriksen will return to the team in April, and it seems that the midfielder is progressing well in his recovery. Eriksen has hinted that he has resumed individual training on the grass, and it’s possible that he could be involved with the team in a few weeks’ time. While he might not be ready for the Newcastle United game on April 1, it’s possible that he could be available for the match against Brentford five days later. Ten Hag is likely to ease Eriksen back into the squad, perhaps using him as a substitute a few times before reinstating him into the starting lineup.

Encouraging news for the Red Devils

In addition to Eriksen, United will be hoping that Alejandro Garnacho can return from his ankle injury before the end of the season, although his recovery could take some time. United are also hoping that Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial will be fit again after the international break. With the return of these players, United will be well positioned to make a strong push in the final stretch of the season.
