Poznan had to navigate through a tricky Conference League playoff tie against Norwegian outfit Bodo/Glimt, winning 1-0 on aggregate, thanks to Michael Ishak’s lone goal in the second leg in Poland. After that, John van den Brom’s side suffered a 2-1 defeat to Slask Wroclaw in the league, before securing a five-star victory over Lechia Gdansk on Saturday. Goals from Antonio Milic, Michal Skoras, Mikael Ishak and Kristoffer Velde helped Lech Poznan register their 11th league-win of the season in the weekend, taking their points tally to 39 from 23 games, 16 adrift of leaders Raków Częstochowa.
Djurgardens on the other hand, finished their 2022 Allsvenskan season in second position. Meanwhile, the Swedish outfit had a dominant Conference league Group F campaign, recording five wins and one draw from six outings to collect 16 points, eight more than second-placed Gent. The Iron Stoves and West Ham United were the only two sides to go unbeaten in the group stage. Last time out, Djurgardens defeated IF Brommapojkarna in the Svenska Cupen, thanks to Magnus Eriksson’s brace.
Lech Poznan defender Lubomir Satka is doubtful for Thursday’s game as he recovers from a muscle injury sustained in the latter stages of January. Ishak might lead the line, with Skoras and Karlstrom occupying the flanks. As for Djurgardens, Holmberg might spearhead the attack, with Asoro and Wikheim in support.
Lech Poznan Probable line-up: Bednarek, Pereira, Salamon, Dagerstal, Rebacho, Karlstrom, Kvekveskiri, Loua, Sousa, Skoras, Ishak
Djurgarden Probable line-up: Zetterstrom, Johansson, Danielson, Ekdal Andersson, Finndell, Schuller, Eriksson, Asoro, Holmberg, Wikheim
