Everton will hope to continue their winning run at home when they welcome Aston Villa to Goodison Park in Premier League on Saturday. Sean Dyche’s side won their last two games at home and will be heading into this match full of confidence. It was not the case a few weeks ago for them when relegation fears loomed large for the Toffees. However, they have seemed to have turned a corner since Dyche’s appointment as their manager. Hence, they will be optimistic about getting the maximum points against a struggling Villa side.

Aston Villa have had their ups and downs this season. After a poor start to the campaign, they saw a managerial change with Steven Gerrard being sacked and Unai Emery taking over the role. Since then, Villa have experienced an upward surge and have made it difficult for any team to play against them. However, it has not been the case in recent matches, as Villa are going through a mini-winless streak.

Aston Villa lost their last match in heart-breaking fashion to leaders Arsenal. It was their third successive defeat in the league. On the other hand, Everton are entering this match on the back of beating Leeds United 1-0. In their previous home match they had beaten Arsenal. Hence, the Toffees will look to make it three home wins on the bounce on Saturday. Overall, Everton have 21 points from 23 games to be placed 16th in the Premier League table. Meanwhile, Aston Villa have 28 points from 23 matches to be sitting 11th in the standings.
