Chelsea will be looking to extend their winning streak to four games in all competitions, when they host Everton in an English Premier League fixture at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Both sides are heading into the match on the back of victories in their previous outings last Saturday, with the hosts defeating Leicester City 3-1, while Everton edged past Brentford 1-0. The Blues are currently occupying 10th spot in the English top tier standings, having collected 37 points from 26 games, 11 points adrift of the top four. The visitors, meanwhile, are sitting five places behind Graham Potter’s side, with 25 points to their name, just one point clear of the relegation zone.

Chelsea began the month of March with a narrow 1-0 league-win over Leeds United, before defeating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie, on March 7. The result helped Potter’s side to progress to the quarter-finals of Europe’s top tier tournament with an aggregate 2-1 win. And then, Last Saturday, the Blues secured all three points against Leicester at the King Power Stadium, courtesy of first-half goals from Ben Chilwell and Kai Haverts, and Mateo Kovacic’s 78th-minute effort. It was their 10th league-win of the season. The Blues are now set out to win thee consecutive Premier League-wins for the first time since Potter’s earliest days in charge in September and October. Meanwhile, the reverse fixture in August ended 1-0 in favour of Chelsea, thanks to Jorginho’s penalty kick on the stroke of half-time.

Everton, on the other hand, have failed to win in 27 Premier League-games at Stamford Bridge. The Toffees have recorded two wins from their last five encounters against Chelsea, but both of those triumphs came at Goodison Park. Everton secured all three points against Brentford in their last outing, thanks to Dwight McNeil’s lone goal within 35 seconds from kickoff. McNeil was also the hero at the other end of the pitch, clearing an Ethan Pinnock effort off the line. Meanwhile, the Toffees’s away form has been dismal this term, having gone 11 games without a win in all tournaments, losing six and drawing three of their last nine on the road in the top flight.
