Arsenal will be looking to extend their winning run to seven games in the Premier League when they host Leeds United at Emirates Stadium on Saturday. Both sides secured convincing wins in their last outings prior to the international break, with the hosts beating Crystal Palace 4-1 at home, while Leeds defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-2 at Molineux Stadium. The Gunners are comfortably sitting at the top of the English top flight standings, having collected 69 points from 28 games, eight points clear of the chasing pack. The visitors, meanwhile, are occupying the 13th position, with 27 points to their name.

After losing out to Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Europa League last-16 tie, Arsenal bounced back with a dominant win over Crystal Palace in the league on March 18. Mikel Arteta’s side deservedly took a two-goal lead in the first half, thanks to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli’s strikes. After the break, Granit Xhaka and Saka netted either side of Jeffrey Schlupp’s consolation goal in the 63rd-minute, and sealed Arsenal’s 28th top flight victory of the season. Having exited the Europa League, Arteta’s men now focus all their efforts on the Premier League title-run in for the next two months. Meanwhile, Arsenal have scored a whopping 19 goals and conceded just five in their last six league-matches.

Leeds United, on the other hand, have taken seven points from their last four league-games, that includes victories against Southampton and Wolves. Last time out, the Whites secured all three points away to Wolves courtesy of goals from Jack Harrison, Luke Ayling, Rasmus Kristensen and Rodrigo Moreno. It was their seventh top flight victory of the campaign and the result helped the Peacocks to move three points clear of the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Leeds’ away form in the top flight this season has been very poor, collecting just nine points from a possible 42 on the road.
