A brace from Joaquin Correa and a late goal from Ciro Immobile gave Lazio a thumping victory over AC Milan. This loss saw Milan slip to fifth spot in the points table. Napoli won 2-0 at Torino, courtesy of two first-half goals from Tiemoue Bakayoko and Victor Osimhen. The win helped Gennaro Gattuso’s side into the third spot. They are level on points with Juventus and AC Milan but separated by goal difference and head-to-head record.

Joaquin Correa played a one-two with his strike partner Immobile to go through and rounded Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to put the ball inside the net within 77-seconds. Five minutes after restart Correa dribbled past Fikayo Tomori and smashed the ball past Donnarumma into the roof of the net to make it 2-0 for Simone Inzaghi’s side. Immobile sealed the match with a fine low shot from just inside the box in the 87th minute to make it 3-0 for Lazio.

After the loss, Steffano Pioli’s side are fifth with 66 points from 33 games. Lazio are behind them with 61 points from 32 games.
