Prior to the World Cup break, Marseille recorded back-to-back League-wins against Monaco (3-2) and Lyon (1-0). Their previous competitive game against Monaco was a thrilling encounter which saw the Olympians come from behind to take all three points away from home. Although Alexis Sanchez’ opener was canceled out by Ben Yedder and Kevn Voland gave the lead to Monaco 18 minutes from time, Jordan Veretout leveled the score in the 83rd minute before Sead Kolasinac scored a dramatic 98th-minute winner. It was OM’s ninth league-win of the season. Toulouse, on the other hand, lost to Rennes in their last domestic game, despite the fact that Thijs Dallinga got on the scoresheet. Toulouse have won just four Ligue 1 games this term and their last win came against Angers (3-2) in October.
Marseille midfielders Matteo Guendouzi and Jordan Veretout, who were part of the French squad that finished runner ups in Qatar World Cup, have returned to training with the club and are likely to start on Thursday. Meanwhile, defender Eric Bailly is sidelined with an injury. Chilean legend Sanchez could lead the line, with Guendouzi and Harit in support. As for Toulouse, full-backs Mikkel Desler and Kevin Kebin are occupying the treatment room, while Issiaga Syla is out with illness.
Marseille probable starting lineup: Lopez, Gigot, Balerdi, Mbemba, Tavares, Veretout, Rongier, Clauss, Guendouzi, Harit, Sanchez
Toulouse probable starting lineup: Dupe, Keben, Roualt, Nicolaisen, Zanden, Dejaegere, Spierings, Van den Boomen, Ratao, Dallinga, Birmancevic
