A year ago, Man City would have been the favourite to get the three points at Etihad. However, a lot has changed since then in the top division. Arsenal have emerged as a real force to be reckoned with in this campaign. The Gunners are deservedly sitting at the top spot in the standings and are providing a terrific challenge to the defending league champions City.

On the other hand, Manchester City are not entirely having a bad season, however, Arsenal’s impressive form has forced Pep Guardiola’s side to settle for second place till now. Besides, inconsistency has been a big problem for Man City. Either way, they are not too far away from the top spot. Man City currently have 45 points from 20 games to be placed second in the table. They have to be at the top of their game to get a win over the high-flying Arsenal on Friday night.
