There are some key players who are set to miss this match for both sides. Liverpool have some good news in the form of a few players returning to training. The biggest positive is in the form of their Portuguese forward Diogo Jota. He could be in line to be named in the squad for the upcoming match. However, it is unlikely he will start this match. Besides, Roberto Firmino and Arthur have also returned to full training but they will take some time to return to first-team action.
However, the Reds do have a good number of players still missing. Two main centre-backs Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate will continue to miss this game. Luis Diaz and Thiago will also join them on the sidelines. On the other hand, Everton will be sweating over the fitness situation of their star striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
