Arsenal will be keen to maintain their lead at the top of the Premier League table when they travel to King Power Stadium for a tricky clash against Leicester City. This match has all the ingredients to be an entertaining contest. Both sides are known for their positive brand of attacking football, as their games normally make for a good viewing. With both managers set to take the game to the opposition rather than focusing on defensive approach, supporters can expect to witness a good game of football.

The Gunners have been one of the standout teams of this current Premier League season. They have done incredibly well to stay above the rest in this intriguing title battle. However, in recent past, Arsenal have been going through a sticky spell, which even saw then temporarily surrender their lead at the top of the table. However, Mikel Arteta’s side are back to the top spot after ending their three-match winless run in the league last weekend when they dramatically overcame Aston Villa 4-2.

On the other hand, Leicester City had their ups and downs this season in the league. From struggling in the bottom three places for so long at the start of the campaign, the Foxes have done incredibly well to move out of danger zone. Their two-match winning run in the league though was ended last weekend when Manchester United beat them 3-0 at Old Trafford. Overall, Leicester City have 24 points from 23 matches to be sitting 14th in the table, while Arsenal have 54 points from the same number of matches as their opponent to be placed at the top.

This tie is not how once it used to be. Brendan Rodgers has done a good job to make Leicester City play a good attacking brand of football. They are capable of providing any team with a good challenge on a given day. On Saturday, the Foxes will be up against an opponent who will also be playing similar kind of game to them. Arteta’s Arsenal also focus primarily on attack and they take the match to the opponents half at every possible scenario. Hence, both sets of supporters can expect to witness a good brand of football.

These two clubs have played against each other on numerous occasions over the years. If those contests are narrowed down to Premier League then there are still good number of matches that have taken place between them. Out of the 33 games that have happened between them, Arsenal lead the way with 20 victories. Leicester City have won only five of those matches, while eight ended in draws. When they played each other in the league earlier this season, Arsenal won 4-2.
