Who is the best performing player in La Liga in 2022? It’s a challenging question to respond to each year. The majority of La Liga players are among the best in the world, starting with Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema, who has had an incredible season. There are players like Pedri, Vincius Junior, and Antoine Greizmann who frequently grab attention for their La Liga performances. These gifted Spanish players are creating quite a stir in La Liga, whether they are playing for FC Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, or any team in between.

Karim Benzema

The best thing that ever happened to Karim Benzema’s career was when Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid, and ever since Lionel Messi left La Liga, Benzema has risen to the challenge of becoming the league’s undisputed best player. This past season, the 34-year-old talisman striker led La Liga in goals scored as Real Madrid won its 35th championship in Spain’s top professional soccer league. Not to mention Benzema’s unbelievable performance in leading Los Merengues to the Champions League championship game.

Vinicius Junior

Vinicius Jr. has been amazing ever since the moment he stepped off the plane in Spain. just occasionally not for the right causes. The Brazilian can easily dribble past three fullbacks and leave them in his wake, but he also has the ability to fumble the decisive pass or hoof a shot into the stands. Vini Jr., who is only 21 years old, has a prosperous career ahead of him. He was one of only two La Liga players in 21/22 (the other was Benzema) to score double digit goals and hand out double digit assists. Along with ranking among the top 5 players in La Liga for chances created and fouls won, Vini Jr. also had the highest expected threat, expected offensive value added, and successful dribbles of any player.

Pedri

It’s not as if FC Barcelona has never had a talented adolescent, but neither Iniesta nor Messi seemed as mature and vital at the age of 19. Pedri solidified his position as a starter in his first year at Barca, bringing hope to the Catalans’ otherwise dismal campaign. The 2021 European Championship Young Player of the Tournament battled a number of injuries during the previous season, but when he was healthy, the Spaniard led FC Barcelona’s late-season charge to second place in La Liga.
