Jan Oblak started his career at a very young age. He was five when he joined his hometown club named Locan. He later joined Olimpija youth academy after playing for the club for five years. He then made his professional debut during the year 2009, and likewise was an impressive aid that helped the club earn a promotion to the top division of the league in that season. Oblak was named as the vice-captain of the club behind Koke during the 2019-20 season. At the end of the 2020-21 season, Oblak made his 250th appearance for Atletico. The Slovenian international even helped the club win the league by closing a gap between arch-rivals Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. As of today, he has over 300 appearances while playing for Atletico Madrid.
