Israel were involved in an exciting end-to-end encounter against Serbia last time out. Serbia opened the scoring through Marko Lazetic inside the opening eight minutes, before Oscar Glach leveled the score for Ofir Heim’s side in the 16th minute. And then, in the 74th minute, Israel took the lead through Ahmad Ebraheim and looked like they would pocket the three points, but right at the end, in the third minute of injury-time, Stefan Lekovic salvaged a point for Serbia. The top two finishers in both groups of this eight-team tournament not only qualify for the semi-finals, but also automatically qualify for the 2023 Under-20 World Cup in Indonesia.
Austria, on the other hand, came into the tournament with the tag of dark horse as they had eliminated Spain in the qualifying stage. However, Martin Scherb’s side struggled to live up to the expectations in the opening game against England, losing 2-0. Samuel Chukwuemeka and Alfie Devine netted for the Three Lions to hand defeat to Austria. The attacking threat of England was too good for the Austrian defence to handle. Austrians now have two more games to salvage a spot in the knockout stage.

Israel head coach Ofir Haim is unlikely to make too many alterations to the side that started in Sunday’s thrilling draw against Serbia. Dor Turgerman, who was their top-scorer in qualifying, will lead the attack once again with Lugasi and Ifrah occupying the flanks. Oscar Gloch will sit behind the centre-forward and provide the creative spark. As for Austria, after the defeat to England, head coach Martin Scherb could make some changes up front. Jakob Knollmuller could start as the target-man and he will be supported by Yusuf Demir. Ervin Moic will captain the side.
Israel Under-19s probable starting lineup: Gliklich, Feingold, Lemkin, Israelov, Edri, Kancepolsky, Madmon, Ebraheim, Gloch, Lugassy, Turgeman
