Wolfsburg will be hoping to continue their winning run in the Bundesliga when they travel to Olympiastadion Berlin to take on Hertha Berlin on Tuesday night. The visitors are heading into the match on the back of a stunning 6-0 win over SC Freiburg on Saturday, while Hertha Berlin fell to a 3-1 defeat to Bochum on the same day. The victory helped Wolfsburg to move to seventh spot in the German top flight standings, having collected 26 points from 16 games, four adrift of the top-4. Hertha Berlin conceded three times in the first half against Bochum, courtesy of a brace from Philipp Hofman, either side of Keven Schlotterbeck’s strike. Meanwhile, Suat Serdar scored a consolation goal for Hertha, three minutes from time. It was their eighth league-defeat of the campaign. Hertha’s last top flight win came against FC Koln (2-0), before the World Cup break, through strikes from Wilfried Kanga and Marco Richter.

Kovac’s side netted six times against fourth-placed Freiburg without reply. Jonas Wind netted a brace alongside efforts from Luca Waldschmidt, Riddle Baku, Patrick Wimmer and Yannick Gerhardt. The result helped the Wolves to extend their winning run to five Bundesliga matches. The Wolves bagged an impressive 17 goals during their five-game winning run, while conceding only once.
