Matchday seven of the Chinese Super League 2022 will witness Hebei FC take on Wuhan Yangtze River. It is a bottom of the table clash with both sides eager for a win to reverse their fortunes. The hosts, Hebei FC have endured a horrific campaign so far losing all six of their games so far having conceded 17 goals so far and sit at 17th spot just a place above Guangzhou City who sit at the bottom. Wuhan Yangtze River, on the other hand have seen their early season good form falter and find themselves at the 13th position with nine points to their name and so far are at a comfortable position away from the relegation zone. With both teams in dire need of a win, it promises to be an exciting and thrilling match.

As for, Wuhan Yangtze River their run of form prior to the Chinese Super League was filled with mixed results. They managed one win, three draws and two defeats in their last six games before June. They couldn’t have been more pleased with their start to their league campaign as they managed three wins in their first three fixtures. A challenge for the title was looking like a serious prospect. However, all that positivity has been disrupted since they fell to a 3-1 derby defeat against Wuhan Three Towns on matchday four. Consecutive defeats have followed since then against Shanghai Shenhua and Shanghai Port. Coach, Jinyu Li will be eager for his side to rediscover their lost form and get back on the right track.
Hebei FC will be strengthened by the return of defender, Zhang Wei who had to missed their last game due to injury woes. Rest of the squad too will be available for selection into the playing XI. While for Wuhan Yangtze River, Bruno Viana will be a major doubt after he had to be taken off in their last match against Shanghai Port. Jinyu Li will have to adjust his tactics and plans accordingly.
