Hajduk Split will have a mountain to climb when they take on Villarreal in the second leg of the Europa Conference League playoff tie on Thursday night. Unai Emery’s side hold a 4-2 advantage as they travel to Croatia to seal their place in the group stage of the competition. Hajduk Split did reduce the deficit in the first leg but still have a difficult task at hand to overcome the Spaniards on Thursday. Villarreal will be the clear favourites in this clash and their run to the Champions League semifinal last season justifies the favourite tag.

With Hajduk Split needing to overturn a two-goal deficit, they might go in with an attacking line-up on Thursday. One or both of Marko Livaja and Nikola Kalinic could start for the home side. Otherwise, they might name more or less the same team from last week. On the other hand, Unai Emery might continue to rotate his squad to ensure all the players in their squad get sufficient game time. Veteran goalkeeper Pepe Reina could replace Jan Oblak in the Starting XI and new signing Jose Luis Morales could retain his place. However, Arnaut Danjuma will miss the clash through injury.
Hajduk Split possible line-up: L Kalinic, Mikanovic, Awaziem, Elez, Melnjak, Grgic, Sahiti, Krovinovic, Biuk, N Kalinic, Livaja
