Gil Vicente are now winless in their last nine games across all competitions. Last time out, Hidemasa Morita, Pedro Goncalves and Rochinha netted for Sporting Lisbon to take all three points. Meanwhile, Gil Vicente scored a consolation goal through Fran Navarro. It was Gilistas’ third league defeat of the season. Estoril Praia, on the other hand, shared the spoils against Chaves after Hector Marrero’s opener was canceled out by Rodrigo Martins. Prior to that, the Canaries shared the points against defending champions Porto, with a similar scoreline.

Gil Vicente full back Lucas Barros is sidelined with an injury. Spanish forward Navarro, who has netted five league goals thus far, is expected to join Medina and Souza in the front-three.
