Fulham welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Craven Cottage for a difficult Premier League contest on Monday night. At the beginning of the season, many expected Tottenham to be comfortably placed in the top four positions, while Fulham were expected to battle relegation. Neither of the predictions have come true till now. What surprises most is that there is very little to separate the two sides in the league table. They lost their last two games to Arsenal and Manchester City, which has brought forward serious questions over their capabilities to finish in the top four places. Spurs currently have 33 points from 20 games to be sitting fifth in the standings.

This game has turned out to be much more important than many anticipated at the start of the campaign. A lot of credit must be given to Fulham for that.
