Flamengo, meanwhile, won the Copa Libertadores last term, to earn a direct qualification into the last-4 stage of the competition. As of now, Rubro-Negro are sitting at the summit of Carioca Serie A standings, having collected 14 points from 6 games, while Al-Hilal are occupying fourth position in the Saudi Pro League table, with 32 points to their name from 15 matches.

Meanwhile, their last outing against Moroccan outfit Wydad AC was a thrilling affair. The Blue Waves came from behind to level the score through Mohammed Kanno’s 93rd-minute strike and took the game to extra time, before prevailing in the shootout.
