Zalgiris had lost the Champions League third qualifying round tie against Bodo/Glimt, 6-1 on aggregate, to drop down to the Europa League qualifiers. The Lithuanian outfit are sitting on top of their domestic league standings. In their recent outing against Lietva, Renan Oliveira opened the scoring before Josep Tadic netted a brace to secure all three points. The Green Whites need to overturn a one goal deficit on Thursday to accomplish their dream of participating in a major continental tournament for the first time ever.
Ludogorets, on the other hand, have made an impressive start to their 2022-23 First League campaign, registering four wins from their opening five games to occupy third spot in the table. Stanislav Genchev’s side are just four points behind leaders CSKA 1948, who have played two games more. The Eagles, in their recent outing against Pirin, opened the scoring through Georgi Terziev before an own goal from Kazuki Takahashi doubled the lead. Matias Tissera tripled the lead and then Jorginho put the icing on the cake with the Eagles’ fourth of the night. ,
Zalgiris midfielder Donatas Kazlauskas is unavailable for Thursday’s match because of suspension. Last game’s goal-scorer Oliveira is likely to lead the line with Radic in support.
