Fenerbahce are currently sitting on top of the Turkish Super Lig standings, with seven points from three games. In their recent outing against Adana Demirspor, the Yellow Canaries netted four times courtesy of a brace from Enner Valencia and one goal each from Miha Zahic and Ezgjan Alioski. It was the Legend’s second league win of the season. Jorge Jesus’ side have been in stunning form off late, winning three consecutive games across all competition, scoring 12 times and conceding just 2.
Austria Vienna, on the other hand, haven’t had a great start to their 2022-23 Austrian Bundesliga campaign, recording just two wins from their opening five games to be sitting at the ninth spot. In their last game against Wolfsberg, the Violets secured all three points courtesy of goals from Andreas Gruber and Marco Djuricin. Frank Kessel’s side needs to overturn a two-goal deficit to earn a spot in the group stages of a European competition for the first time since 2017-18.
Fenerbahce defenders Serdar Aziz and Nazim Sangare are sidelined with injuries. Valencia, who scored a brace in the last game, is likely to join Dursun and Rossi in the front-three. As for Austria Vienna, defender Galvo won’t be available for Thursday’s clash because of the red card he received in the opening leg. Regarding the injury crisis, Ziad El Sheiwi, Matan Baltaxa, Florian, Wustinger, Armand Smrcka and Marko Rugaz won’t be making the trip to Turkey.
Fenerbahce probable starting lineup: Bayindir, Lemos, Szalai, Peres, Kadioglu, Yuksek, Crespo, Alioski, Rossi, Dursun, Valencia
Austria Vienna probable starting lineup: Fruchtl, Ranftl, Handl, Muhl, Koumetio, da Graca, Braunoda, Fischer, Holland, Gruber, Fitz
