The Swiss champions haven’t been in great form off late, conceding 10 goals in their last four games across all competitions, while scoring just four. However, Franco Foda’s men have been impressive at home having lost just 2 of their last 23 games across all competitions. Qarabag, on the other hand, recorded a 5-2 aggregate win over Lech Poznan in their previous round tie. Gurban Gurbanov’s side are bidding to make it to the group stage of the Champions League for the first time since 2017-18. Securing at least a draw on Wednesday would be enough for the Azerbaijan outfit to go through to the next round. Meanwhile a defeat would see them drop to the Europa League third qualifying round, the same applies to FC Zurich.

Zurich defender Becir Omeragic is sidelined with a muscle injury, therefore Kryeziu will continue to partner Aliti in the heart of the defence. Wilfried Gnoto, Antonio Marchesano and Fabian Rohner are expected to form the front three with veteran midfielder Alerim Dzemaili pulling the strings from the middle of the park. As for Qarabag, Gurbanov is unlikely to make too many alterations to the side that got the job done in the opening leg. New arrival Julio Romao could make his debut for the Swiss club on Wednesday. Kady and Wadji, who scored a combined 36 goals last season are expected to lead the attack.
FC Zurich probable starting lineup: Brecher; Kamberi, Kryeziu, Aliti, Guerrero; Boranijasevic, Hornschuh, Dzemaili; Rohner, Marchesano, Gnonto
