FC Twente have to overturn a 2-1 deficit against Fiorentina in the second leg of the Europa Conference League playoff tie in order to secure a group stage slot. The Dutch side have made an impressive start to their domestic league, however, they were well beaten in the opening leg last week. The only positive was that they managed to come out of Italy with a goal to their name. Even though Fiorentina played well for most of the match and were cruising to a 2-0 lead, Vaclav Cerny’s 64th-minute strike will act as a confidence booster ahead of the second leg tie for the Dutch side.

Arthur Cabral and Nicolas Gonzalez scored the two goals in the last leg. Hence they are most likely to retain their starting place, thereby leaving Luka Jovic on the bench. The home side will have to make a call on some of their injured players. It is not clear whether Wout Brama will be fit enough to be part of the squad on Thursday. There are also question marks over the participation of Ramiz Zerrouki and Casper Staring.
