FC Midtjylland will host Lazio in a Group F fixture of the Europa League at MCH Arena on Thursday. The hosts did not have a great start to their European campaign, as they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to SK Sturm Graz at Merkur Arena last Thursday. While Lazio defeated Feyenoord 4-2 in their opening group match of the competition last week. And then, the Serie A outfit carried that momentum to their domestic stage, as they defeated Verona 2-0 last Sunday. Midjylland, meanwhile, played out a 1-1 draw Nordsjaelland in a Danish top flight match last weekend..Â

Midtjylland lost to Sturm Graz courtesy of Emanuel Emegha’s lone goal in the 8th-minute. Last term’s Danish Superliga runners-up came away empty handed from Merkur Arena, despite playing with an extra man for the final part of the game, once Sturm Graz midfielder Stefan Hierlander received a red card. And then, the Wolves secured a dramatic draw against Nordsjaelland in a Danish superliga match last Sunday. Ernest Nuamah put the hosts ahead inside the opening 15 minutes, before Evander scored a 101st-minute equaliser to share the spoils.   Â
Lazio, on the other hand, put two goals past Verona without reply in a Serie A fixture last Sunday. Italian striker Ciro Immobile broke the deadlock in the 68th-minute before Luis Alberto doubled the lead five minutes into stoppage time. It was the Eagles’ third Serie A win of the season from six games. The White and Sky Blues are currently sitting at the seventh position in the table with 11 points, just three below leaders Napoli. Meanwhile, Maurizio Sarri’s side got the better of Feyenoord in their European fixture courtesy of Matias Vecino’s brace and one goal each from Luis Alberto and Anderson.  Â

Lazio boss Sarri has an almost fully-fit squad at his disposal. Manuel Lazzari is the only absentee because of a hamstring injury. Immobile is likely to lead the line with Zaccagni and Anderson in support. Vecino, Cataldi and Alberto could form the midfield-trio. As for Midtjylland, Erik Sviatchenko is expected to captain the side. Isaksen, Kaba and Sisto could form the front-three.Â
