Deportivo Tachira are currently sitting fourth in the Venezuela top flight standings with 35 points from 22 games. Alexandre Pallares’ side hasn’t been in great form, having won just one of their last four league games, while the other three ended in goalless draws. El Aurinegro are unbeaten in their last eight matches on home turf. Independiente del Valle, on the other hand, shared the spoils against Barcelona SC after Junior Sornoza’s opener was canceled out by Jhon Cifuente. The Ecuadorian outfit has recorded two wins, one draw and a defeat in their last four league games. Los Negriazules have dropped to fifth in the league standings, three points shy of top spot after four rounds of matches.

Deportivo Tachira midfielder Robert Graces is doubtful for Tuesday’s game because of a hamstring problem. Therefore Francisco Flores could retain his spot in the middle of the park alongside Totolero and Cova. As for Independiente Bauman is expected to lead the line awith Ortiz and Angulo in support. Meanwhile midfielder Sornozo has been in superb form, having found the back of the net two times in his last three outings. The 28-year-old has been involved in six of the eight goals scored by his team in the Copa Sudamericana so far.
