Dalian Pro will play host to Henan Songshan Longmen in a Chinese Super League fixture at Wuyuan River Stadium Field 2 on Friday afternoon. Both sides will be aiming to get back to winning ways after failing to pocket three points in their last outings. The hosts are heading into the tie on the back of a disappointing 3-0 loss against Shandong Luneng on Tuesday , while Henan Songshan Longmen played out a goalless draw against Changchun Yatai last time around. Henan Jianye has had a decent start to the 2022 CSL campaign, winning three of their five opening games to sit at the fourth spot in the points table while the hosts occupy ninth spot with one victory, one defeat and three draws so far. Â
At Wuyuan River Stadium, Dalian Pro were sent crashing down to earth, conceding three goals in the second half without reply. Marouane Fellaini broke the deadlock in the 68th minute before Moise Limas Magalhaes doubled the lead five minutes from time and Qi Tianyu completed the drubbing with Shandong Taishan’s third of the night in the injury time. Having picked up just six points from a possible 15 so far, the Blue Hawks find themselves just three points above the relegation zone.
Henan, on the other hand, were held to their second draw of the season against Changchun Yatai at Development Area stadium on Monday. Javier Pereira’s men surprisingly had an off day in front of goal and struggled to create enough goal-scoring chances. The Red Devils are undefeated so far in this edition of CSL and will be hoping to move to the Asian spot with a victory at Dalian Pro as they are just two points adrift of the leaders. Prior to the Changchun draw, Henan thrashed Guangzhou City 3-0 courtesy of goals from Henrique Dourado, Han Dong and Feng Boxuan. It was their third consecutive victory.

Guowen Sun, who has scored in each of his last two appearances for Dalian Pro is certainly going to be a key player in the middle of the park. Lei Tong is likely to sit out because of an injury issue. Yan is expected to lead the attack alongside Shang and Yin. As for Henan Songshan Longmen, Ziyi Niu is doubtful having come off injured midway through the previous match. Therefore youngster Jiahui is expected to replace Niu in the heart of the defence.Â
