Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha, Marc Guehi and Christian Benteke were among other players who stayed in England due to some of them not meeting the entry requirements in Australia. The rest of them had fitness concerns. Hence, the manager rotated his squad massively in the previous matches, which is a trend he will continue against Leeds too. On the other hand, Leeds have had a busy transfer window due to players’ incomings and outgoings.
Their two star players – Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha – departing the club this summer would have been a blow to them. However, they have been busy in the transfer window by signing seven new players. Darko Gyabi and Sonny Perkins are joined in by Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca, Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra. It is not clear how many of these new players will be in action on Friday. Besides, they will miss the services of Junior Firpo and Stuart Dallas.
