Chelsea have lost three of their previous four games heading into the Champions League final against English Champions Manchester City on May 29 at Porto. The Blues lost their final game of the Premier League season against Aston Villa 2-1 and finished fourth in the points table thanks to Tottenham’s 4-2 win over Leicester City. The Foxes finished one point behind Chelsea in the fifth spot. Also, Thomas Tuchel’s side lost 1-0 to Leicester City in the FA Cup final. These loses are certainly worrisome for the coach.

“Yes, it concerns me because it always concerns me when we lose,” Blues boss Tuchel said at a press conference on Monday.

He explained: “It’s not so easy to get a grip on these losses, to analyse them, because the data and statistics we produce, and the performances we produce, do not indicate that it’s logic to lose.

“But still, it’s a fact that we lost. So we are concerned because it’s the worst feeling for me to lose.

“It’s a bit too much (to say) that we are unlucky in the last weeks. I don’t like to stress it too much because it seems like we talk about it too many times.

“But it is like this. We were simply not lucky in these games. We cannot deny that we had good performances.

“So, yes and no; we are concerned but there is no second thoughts. There is only all in for Saturday’s match.”

Chelsea eye CL glory second time around

Thomas Tuchel took charge as Chelsea’s head coach in January following the sacking of Franck Lampard. Since taking charge, the German has revived the Blues’ season, beating Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals to reach their first final since winning the competition in 2012.

Finishing in the top-four of Premier League to ensure Champions League football for next season and reached the FA Cup final after beating Manchester City 1-0 in the semi-final.

A positive thing for Chelsea heading into the final on May 29 is that, they have defeated Manchester City in their last two meetings-In the FA Cup semifinal and in the Premier League fixture on May 8.
