Changchun Yatai will be taking on Henan Songshan Longmen in the matchday five of the Chinese Super League 2022. The two teams have enjoyed contrasting fortunes so far in their respective campaigns with the visitors’ points tally double of that of the hosts. Changchun Yatai sit way down the league table at 12th with just five points to their name, only three above the relegation zone. While, Henan Songshan Longmen have enjoyed a splendid run so far as they find themselves at the second spot having accumulated ten points so far and also enjoyed an unbeaten with three wins and a draw.

The hosts, Changchun Yatai who had endured a disastrous run before the start of the Chinese Super League with three defeats, one draw and only two wins have seen their run continue into their league campaign as well. Although, they managed an ideal commencement to their season with a comprehensive 4-1 win over Guangzhou City, their results in the following fixtures have been far from what they would have wanted. This win was followed by a 0-0 stalemate with Zhejiang Professional and a 1-1 draw with Dalian Professional FC and an embarrassing 4-0 defeat at the hands of Shandong Taishan in their last match. Yang Chen’s side will be keen to get a win against Henan Songshan Longmen in their home ground and take a step forward in reversing their fortunes.
As for Henan Songshan Longmen, the journey in the Chinese Super League of 2022 has been brilliant. Having earned 11 points in their last six games before the start of June, the club have continued their brilliant run in the league. After a 2-2 draw with Dalian Professional in their opening game, Henan Songshan Longmen have gained victories over Shandong Taishan, Zhejiang Professional and Guangzhou City by the margins of 4-1, 3-1 and 3-0 respectively. Javier Pereira will be confident of continuing their winning run against a struggling Changchun Yatai.
Changchun Yatai will head into the match without any injury or suspension related problems. Other than that, Weiguo Li might well be replaced between the sticks by Wu Yake, after the former was brought off in their last game after a dreadful performance. As for the visitors, same lineup is expected owing to no fitness or suspension related woes and all the players performing upto the mark so far.
