Central Cordoba will host Argentinos Juniors in an Argentine Primera Division fixture at Victor Antonio Aguirre Stadium on Friday. Both sides have made similar starts to the competition, winning two of their opening five games to sit at the mid-table. At Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes on Saturday, C. Cordoba took all three points courtesy of a second-half brace from Claudio Riano. El Ferroviario are an aggressive team who likes to play on the front foot. After finishing the opening phase second from the bottom in Group B with 15 points, Sergio Rondina’s men have been playing catch up. Meanwhile minor adjustments in game plan has enabled the northern Argentines to make a decent start to the campaign.
Argentinos Juniors on the other hand, shared the spoils against Arsenal Sarandi after Nicolas Reneiro’s opening goal was canceled out by Cristian Colman. Gabriel Militao’s side are unbeaten in seven games at home but their away form has been poor, losing the last two games on the road against Newell’s Old Boys and Sarmiento. Argentinos likes to keep the ball as much as they can and tries to build the attacks from the back. Whereas C. Cordoba are set up to sit back and hit the opposition on the counter.

Cordoba has some injury issues as Juan Cruz Kaprof nursing a muscle strain and Matias Laba is out with a hip problem. Jose Leguizamon is sidelined with a knee problem and Andres Mehring is nursing an ACL injury. As for Argentinos Juniors, Reneiro and Nuss are expected to lead the attack with Florentin and Zalazar occupying the flanks. Lopez and Soraire would pull the string from midfield.
