They narrowly missed the chance to qualify for promotion to the Premier League having lost in the playoffs semi finals. Sheffield will want to go a step further in the upcoming campaign and for that a good pre-season will be necessary. They will be up against Portuguese outfit, Casa Pia who are preparing for a campaign in Portuguese’s top division after eight decades.

Throughout the 2021/22 season they were splendid in LigaPro, second division in Portugal as they finished second and gained promotion to the Primeira Liga.
