It was Serbia, who started the game on the brighter side as their talismanic striker Mitrovic struck the woodwork from a tight angle after some fine footwork inside the box. The Fulham-man had another chance when the Cameroon defence failed to clear their lines and the ball fell to him eight yards out, but he fired wide. The Indomitable Lions took the lead against the run of play, when Castelletto slotted home from a set piece. The central defender got on the end of Nicolas N’Koulou’s flick to tap home at the far post.

Serbia, who were fancied to be one of the dark horses of the tournament, recorded their first shot on target when Pavlovic headed home from a brilliant Dusan Tadic free-kick, one minute into the first-half injury time. The Eagles grabbed the lead two minutes later when Camerron defence didn’t clear their lines properly and Milinvovic- Savic pounced on the opportunity to steer the ball into the net from the edge of the box. The third for Serbia, was a beautifully worked team goal which was finished off by Mitrovic from inside the box.
Meanwhile Cameroon’s Aboubakar, who has 31 international goals to his name, came off the bench to turn their fortunes. The veteran chipped the ball over an advancing Serbia goalkeeper to make the score 3-2 in the 64th-minute, before setting up Choupo-Moting to level the score and keep Cameroon alive in the competition. The African outfit’s final group-game is against Brazil on Friday, while Serbia will take on Switzerland. Brazil have won their opening two games to seal qualification for the knockout stages and Switzerland are currently occupying second spot in the group, with three points to their name.

Vincent Aboubakar JUST being played onside by the boot of Nikola Milenkovic for Cameroon’s second goal.
Won’t get a VAR onside call much more marginal.
