Barcelona will be aiming to continue their impressive start to the 2022-23 La Liga season when they travel to struggling Cadiz on Saturday evening. Bluagrana are heading into the match on the back of a three game La Liga winning streak, while the hosts are yet to record first point on board in four attempts. Barcelona are heading into the match on the back of a thumping 5-1 victory over Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League group stage fixture on Wednesday. Midfielder Franck Kessie opened the scoring before Robert Lewandowski netted a brace and then, Ferran Torres completed the drubbing with Barca’s fourth goal of the night. It was the Catalan outfit’s fourth successive competitive victory of the campaign since the goalless draw against Rayo Vallecano on August 13. Prior to the win against Viktoria Plzen, Barca netted three times against Sevilla in a La Liga match, without reply.Â
Cadiz, on the other hand, have lost all of their opening four league games. The Pirates are yet to find the back of the net in four attempts, while they have conceded 10 times. In their recent outing against Celta Vigo, Iago Aspas netted abrace, while Oscar Rodriquez scored once to hand the defeat to Cadiz. Meanwhile, Sergio Gonzalez’s side actually beat Barcelona 1-0 at Camp Nou last term.Â

Cadiz midfielder Jon Ander Garrido is sidelined with a knee injury, while Ruben Alcaraz is doubtful for Saturday’s game. Perez is likely to lead the line with Sobrino and Alejo in support. As for Barcelona, Xavi might opt to rest some of the regulars. New arrivals, full-backs, Hector Bellerin and Marcos Alosnso are expected to make their debut on Saturday. Meanwhile, Sergio Roberto is unavailable because of injury.Â
