Bristol City are on a six-game unbeaten run across all competitions. Their last outing against Blackburn Rovers ended in a draw, courtesy of Antoine Semenyo’s 68th-minute equaliser. Prior to that, Nigel Pearson’s side got the better of Swansea City in the FA Cup third round replay on January 18. Mark Sykes and Sam Bell found the back of the net for the Robins at the Liberty Stadium. The home leg of the tie had ended in a 1-1 draw therefore forcing a replay. Meanwhile, the Robins have kept just one clean sheet in nine outings, which will be a frustrating statistic for Pearson.Â
West Brom, on the other hand, have kept five clean sheets in their last nine matches across all competitions. Their previous round FA cup tie against Chesterfield ended in a 4-3 aggregate win. The first leg saw both sides scoring three goals each at the Technique Stadium on January 7 and thereby forcing a replay. And then, nine days later, in the reverse fixture, the Baggies thrashed Chesterfield 4-0, courtesy of strikes from John smith, Tom Rogic, Jake Livermore and Jovan Malcolm. However, Carlos Corberan’s side couldn’t extend the unbeaten streak of six games, as they suffered a league-defeat to Burnley in their last outing, despite the fact that Danell furlong opened the scoring inside the opening seven minutes.Â
