Brighton & Hove Albion will host Leicester City in a Premier League fixture at the Falmer stadium on Sunday. The hosts are heading into the match on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Fulham last Tuesday, while Leicester suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Manchester United two days later. Brighton are currently occupying 4th position in the standings with 10 points from 5 games, while the visitors are languishing at the bottom of the table with just one point. The Foxes are yet to register their first victory of this campaign so far.

Brighton has made an impressive start to their 2022-23 Premier League campaign, recording three wins and a draw to collect 10 points. Meanwhile their only defeat so far came against Fulham last Tuesday.  Although Alexis Mac Allister canceled out Aleksandar Mitrovic’s opener, Lewis Dunk’s own goal helped Fulham take all three points. Meanwhile Brighton are yet to concede a Premier League goal on home turf this season and have now gone six top-flight games unbeaten at their headquarters.

Leicester, on the other hand, have made a disastrous start to their new league campaign, losing four of their opening five games. The Foxes kicked off the season with a 2-2 draw against Brentford before losing four successive league games. In their latest outing against the Red Devils, Jadon Sancho’s first-half strike separated the two sides at King Power stadium. Failure to improve the squad during the summer transfer window is one of the main reasons for the Foxes’ poor start to the season.

Adam Lallana and Jakub Moder are unavailable for the Seagulls.  Danny Welbeck is likely to be the target-man upfront with Trossard and Mac Allister in support. As for Leicester, defender Daniel Amartey is doubtful because of a muscular issue, therefore new arrival Faes could join Jonny Evans in the central defence. Patson Daka could lead the line with Maddison and Barnes in support.
