Last Thursday’s defeat extended Brescia’s winless run to four games, recording two draws in the period. The Little Swallows ended their Serie B regular season with a 2-2 draw away to Palermo thanks to second-half efforts from Pablo Rodriguez and Floria Aye. Head coach Daniele Gastaldello, who took charge of team back in February, has managed to secure only three wins from 14 league-games in the regular season. Meanwhile, one of their three wins under Gastaldello came against Thursday’s opponents at the start of May. It was the the White and Blues’s ninth second tier victory of the season. Meanwhile, the Lioness haven’t been very great at home this term, having taken 24 points from a possible 57.

Consenza, on the other hand, headed into the playoffs, on the back of a seven-game winless run, recording two defeats and five draws in the period. The Wolves have won nine league-matches this term and their last success in the regular season came way back at the start of April against Pisa. Although the Red-Blues have the worst away-record in the second tier this season, with just 12 points taken from their 19 games on the road, they are now just one step away from extending their stay on the Serie B to at least one more season. Lupi won just two away-games on their travels this season, and only one side (Modena) lost more away-matches than Wolves’s 11 throughout the 2022-23 campaign.
