Sunderland will be keen to have a positive pre-season ahead of their return to the Championship. Standing in their way is League Two outfit Bradford City. Tuesday’s match at the Valley Parade Stadium will see two sides having indifferent results till now in the pre-season taking on each other. Sunderland began last season in League One but they impressively sealed a return to the Championship via playoffs. However, Bradford have to be content with League Two for another campaign after only managing a 14th place finish in the division.

They won their last match in the pre-season, registering a 2-0 victory over Dundee United. Prior to that, they had lost to AS Roma. Meanwhile, Bradford City have won two and lost the other in their last three friendly matches. Bradford will be hoping to climb higher in the table this season, hence, they will be keen to have a good pre-season tour.

Bradford City could end up using two of their new recruits in Vadaine Oliver and Brad Holiday on Tuesday. It is not clear how many minutes they might play but the duo could get some minutes on the pitch. Meanwhile, Sunderland signed young defender Ajibola-Joshua Alese from Premier League side West Ham United. However, they will have to make do without the services of striker Will Grigg for the upcoming season. It will be interesting to see how they line up in the upcoming match. Both sides are expected to make a lot of changes to the team in each half to give everyone enough game time.
